AGS_EatingForEnergy2.jpgWhen trying to burn fat and add lean muscle, it can be difficult to know what to eat. I hear people draw a quick conclusion that 'healthy' foods are boring and taste bland. What these people do not know is they are forgetting a very import ingredient; spice. Adding spices (and herbs, too) to your food gives your meals an 'upgrade' in more ways than one. The first obvious way is extra flavor enhancement and complexity that only natural spices can bring without adding calories. Another upgrade is spices and herbs are proven to help reduce weight because they contain antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and unique medicinal properties. For most people, burning fat is very challenging; but by incorporating these items into your diet, it will help to make the process easier.

Add Spices and Herbs that Support Energy Levels and Boost Metabolism:

  1. Ginseng, Cinnamon, Mustard, Ginger, Cardamom - Are each known for their ability to speed metabolism and boost energy levels
  2. Cayenne Pepper - Its' hot and spicy compound may help fight obesity by decreasing calorie intake, shrinking fat tissue and lowering blood fat levels, as well as fight fat buildup by triggering beneficial protein changes in your body
  3. Black Pepper Blocks new fat cells from forming
  4. Turmeric - Reduces the formation of fat tissue by suppressing the blood vessels needed to form it
  5. Cumin - Helps digestion and energy production
  6. Green Tea - Studies have shown drinking 3-4 cups of green tea per day helped people lose 6 pounds in 8 weeks. Green tea works to speed up your metabolism, which burns fat

Quick Foods that Support Super Charged Energy Levels and Strong Metabolism:

  1. Goji Berries - This known 'super-food' assists in controlling sugary food cravings and in supporting appetite control
  2. Celery - This low calorie vegetable is full of fiber and water which can help you feel full while cutting back on calories
  3. Apples - Are high in fiber which may slow the digestion of food and make you feel more full with fewer calories
  4. Lentils / Beans - The best high-fiber and low-fat protein foods are beans and lentils. They have the ability to keep your blood sugar stable which makes it easier to lose weight and control cravings
  5. Cucumbers - Another low calorie high nutrient food that supports weight loss, cucumbers are full of water which can quench thirst and prevent the desire to snack due to dehydration
  6. Almonds - Almonds are good for building muscle, as well as making you less hungry all the time. They also work to fight obesity, muscle loss, and high blood pressure
  7. Whole Grains - Whole grains are good for so many things, and it is great at preventing the body from storing fat. Whole grains fight against obesity, high blood pressure, and heart disease
  8. Low-Fat Dairy Products - These products help keep and build muscle mass, which is great for keeping a steady metabolism. They help with weight loss, and they too fight obesity and high blood pressure
  9. Lean Meats - Lean meats help your body to build muscle and improve your immune system. Lean meats work to fight obesity, and burn 30% more calories during digestion

By adding these fat-burning items into your diet, you will notice a change in how you look and more importantly on how you feel.
