Fats get a bad rap...

It has been demonized in the dieting world and made out to be some kind of greasy villain hell bent on ruining your body. The truth is, fat isn’t the enemy. The fat that you should be watchful of is saturated fat; but saturated fat is only half of the story! There’s a wide array of healthy unsaturated fats called monounsaturated fats (MUFAs) and polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs). These unsaturated fats actually provide multiple health benefits and are an integral part of a healthy and balanced diet.

Unfortunately this refinement takes time, lots and lots of time. During the passage of time, much technological and societal advancement has taken place. Juice cleanses have been sweeping the nation, claiming to be a fun and tasty way to get your 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables, all while cleansing your body of toxins and losing weight. Like most things in life, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Juice cleanses are no exception to this golden rule.
