Not to brag but I have been pretty darn accurate in the past with my guesses! Playing the 'guessing game' makes gift-giving... and gift-receiving... a heck of a lot more fun! As I sit at my desk writing this blog my apple watch started to vibrate. It was telling me time to stand up. In order for me to “close my rings” and meet my daily goal, it was time to move for a minute. Before I got my apple watch my butt would have been glued to my chair, as I was never aware that I would be sitting for hours. I walked into my "box" to workout, completely minding my own business. Then I hear people who just won’t stop talking about the 'Paleo Diet', aka the caveman’s diet. As you can probably guess, this diet consists of tons of fruits, veggies, nuts and meats -- and no processed foods. Unfortunately (see my sad face), this means no pasta, grains, or bread. Being an Italian Foodie, I thought that a diet that completely cuts out delicious carbs I love (pasta) and only allows the other less tasty kind of carbs (veggies) sounds miserable! Considering this concept right before a gnarly, butt-kicking-WOD was demoralizing. But, after hearing this style of eating so frequently, I chose to give it a try.

With more than 13,000 boxes (gyms) nationwide, this Spartan-like workout regimen has taken over, with a near cult-like following. Crossfit is based off of challenging workouts, aka WODs (Workout of the day) that manages to keep you on the edge of your seat.
