Health and Wellness DNA Test through WELCOAZ

Scottsdale, Ariz. September 6, 2017The Wellness Council of Arizona, a non-profit organization that creates customized employee wellness programs for some of the largest employers in the state, will now offer Advanced Genomic Solutions (AGS) DNA tests in their suite of services.Wellness-Council-of-Arizona-Logo.jpeg

AGS is an international leader in genomic testing currently offering a Health & Wellness DNA Test and a Drug Sensitivity (PGx) DNA Test. The AGS Health & Wellness Test will provide employees with an individualized report to help them understand how their genetics affect their diet, exercise, and nutrition. The second test is the AGS Drug Sensitivity (PGx) Test, which informs the individual on which prescription drugs they can metabolize based on their unique DNA – helping them, and their doctor, to select the proper medications and dosages to get the best results and avoid a placebo effect, medical complications, or likely addictive risks.

“The Wellness Council of Arizona understands there is not a ‘one size fits all’ method to addressing health and wellness needs within the workplace. Which is why we are dedicated to creating customized programs for employers around the state,” said Dan Johnson, Executive Director of the Wellness Council of Arizona. “AGS DNA-based tests will allow us to create even more customizable programs, helping us honor our commitment to enhancing health and wellness in Arizona businesses.”

“Our Health & Wellness DNA Test and Drug Sensitivity (PGx) DNA Test can empower employees to make smarter decisions on what they eat, how they work out, and what drugs they take based on their unique genes,” said Lance Bennett, Co-Founder of AGS. “We’re excited to partner with the Wellness Council of Arizona to help employees feel their best, thus encouraging them to deliver their best in the workplace.”

“The AGS Health & Wellness DNA Test and Drug Sensitivity (PGx) DNA Test was made available to Wellness Council of Arizona members beginning September 1, 2017. Wellness Council of Arizona has more than 75 organizational members including such organizations as The City of Phoenix, Ping Golf and Bashas’ Grocery.”
