Kevin leads Advanced Genomic Solutions (AGS) Limited as the Founder and Managing Director. Kevin is responsible for the global development and operations of the company. He has been central to the strategic direction of AGS and to the expansion of the AGS team and its genetic testing services.
Prior to founding AGS, Kevin led the launch of hundreds of medical devices in China and SE Asia. He founded Advanced Medical China (AMC) Limited. AMC was the first foreign owned, cardiovascular device distribution company in China and was based in Beijing. It represented American and European medical device manufacturers in China. In 2003 and 2004, AMC achieved the #1 market share position in China for neurovascular and peripheral vascular devices sales.
Kevin is the founder of Advanced Medical Development, LLC (AMD.) AMD has focused on developing disruptive medical technologies for over 20 years. AMD is a founding partner or investor in several Arizona and Asian based biotechnology companies. He also developed and sold Advanced Medical Plaza in Arizona.
Kevin studied in China in 1989 and graduated from Gonzaga University in 1990. Directly out of college, he moved to Hong Kong and worked for Sea Land Service, a Fortune 100 company, and then lived in Beijing as General Manager North China till 1998. Kevin resides now in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
Ross leads expansion and development of AGS throughout the Asia Pacific region from our base in Hong Kong. Ross joins AGS after a four decade career growing and scaling the international insurance industry in Asia with Cigna, AIG and most recently with Starr. At Starr, he served as CEO and President of its Asia Pacific Insurance operations. Ross attended Emory University, and earned degrees in Economics and history. He also attended the College of Insurance at St. Johns University.
Lance is a West Point graduate and decorated US Army Intelligence officer where he was stationed both in the United States and Southeast Asia. He has been in the genetics and biotech industry since leaving the military and joining his first medical device company, KLS Martin. He has spent 22 years in sales, management and executive leadership positions in the biotech industry, most notably at Amgen, the world’s largest biotech company. He led multiple product launches for Amgen and was awarded the company’s top honor of Chairman’s Circle multiple years as a sales executive and sales director.
He is responsible for the implementation of new laboratory expansion operations and continuing education for clients and employees. Lance resides in Arizona.
Cathy has extensive cross-industry experience in medical services and equipment, both international and domestic trading and international logistics. In her recent role at AGS, Cathy conducted in-depth China and Hong Kong genetic testing market research and analysis and helped develop a comprehensive business plan and financial model.
Prior to joining AGS, Cathy resided in China for six years. She founded several trading companies devoted to product distributions in China and led the businesses to financial success. Cathy previously was appointed as finance director of MedAire Inc., a publicly- traded company at that time, providing medical services, training and equipment to Fortune 100 companies.
Cathy has an MBA in Finance and International Management from Thunderbird, School of Global Management and holds a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering.
Dr. Lai Chun Wan Jeffrey has received his post-doctoral fellowship training in cancer genomics at the Queen Mary Hospital and the University of Hong Kong specializing in next-generation sequencing technology and human genetic variation detection. He has received his doctoral degree in biochemistry from Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah). He also received his master degree in molecular biosciences with an emphasis in bioinformatics and Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the United States. He has over 13 years of laboratory experience in genetics research and over 10 years of computational experience in bioinformatics. He has authored and co-authored publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals in the field of cancer, neuroscience, genetics and genomics research. He is a US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Board-approved National Registry Certified Clinical Chemist (NRCC), American Society for Clinical Pathology Board Certified Technologist in Molecular Biology and a registered Medical Laboratory Technologist. He is currently supervising the operation and the research & development of the AGS Laboratory.
Dr. Chan Hoi Chung Samuel is a solo practice family doctor working in private practice with special interests in weight management, exercise prescriptions, treatment of medical co-morbidities of psychiatric patients, and side effects of all medications. He has a Master of Science degree in endocrinology, a Master of Science degree in cardiology and a master of musculoskeletal medicine and rehabilitation. In addition, he has eight other diplomas in various disciplines, ranging from dermatology to pediatrics. He is the honorary clinical assistant professor of the department of family medicine at HKU. Dr. Samuel Chan has 15 sport instructor certifications from various organizations, including the title of certified strength and conditioning specialist of (National Strength and Conditioning Association) NSCA of USA. Currently, he is the master trainer for various sports instructor certification courses, including the personal trainer certification course and Pilates reformer instructor certification course. Dr. Samuel Chan has given various lectures and workshops to doctors/health professionals regularly on topics relating to weight management, exercise prescriptions, mood disorders and side effects of medications relating to psychiatry, cardiology, endocrinology and orthopedic surgery. His articles were published in numerous magazines or newspapers. Dr. Chan has been appointed as the Medical Director/Clinical Consultant of AGS since early 2017 to provide medical consultations on molecular genetics and pharmacogenomic reports.
Rebecca is the Director of Business Development at AGS. She is responsible for sales growth in the US. She has successfully increased the awareness of AGS in the US as an innovative and reliable genetic service provider.
Prior to joining AGS, Rebecca has worked in a Business Development role with various Fortune 100 companies, including Starbucks and the HJ Heinz Corporation. She has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona as well as a Culinary Degree from the Culinary Institute of America in New York. Rebecca currently resides in Scottsdale Arizona.
Nicholas is a graduate of The University of Arizona Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health. His concentrations were in healthcare deliveries/services, and include healthcare economics + policies as well as healthcare marketing. Nicholas has been an integral part of the AGS team since joining the company shortly after it opened its headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ. He has assisted with numerous aspects of the company’s day-to-day and client operations. As a member of the operations team Nicholas supports data management, reporting, and problem resolution. He works with the rest of the operations team to ensure the integrity of the data systems. His role expands to project management, process improvement, building client relationships, data analytics, networking, and offering technical solutions.
Stephanie Yeung received an Honor Degree from the University of Hong Kong and her MSc in Nutrition at the University of Sydney in Australia. She is a Registered Dietician in both Australia and Hong Kong. Prior to AGS, Stephanie worked in both the North Shore Hospital in Sydney and the famous Nutrition company in Hong Kong providing clinical nutritional consultations. She also served in the Hospital Authority Headquarters to promote business strategy and development. In her current role at AGS Stephanie holds regular nutritional seminars globally on Pharmacogenomics and Nutrigenomics. She has faith in the development in Nutrigenomics and is passionate about personalized health and wellness guidance to help create a healthier lifestyle.
Kellie currently serves as the VP of Strategic Partnerships for AGS where she is responsible for the development, oversight, and implementation of innovative programs, projects, partnerships, and strategic initiatives that support the vision, mission, direction, and overall goals of the organization.
Focused on both national and global growth, Kellie works closely with individuals, organizations, and authorized AGS Providers on the integration of personalized, private (backed by a proprietary set of rigid policies and procedures known as AGS GeneShield™) health, wellness, drug sensitivity, skin and other genetic testing programs and ancillary services into their platforms, programs, and professional practices.
In addition to her executive leadership role with AGS, Kellie is Founder & CEO of Greater Possibilities, LLC and the creator of The Growth Project™. Both exist to empower entrepreneurs, business owners, leaders, companies, executives, teams, students, and all individuals to create clarity about who they are, recognize their strengths, address possible limitations, gain more balance, and develop authentic communication with others to improve results and become top performers in all areas of living.
Kendall has a background in chemistry with a vast knowledge of composition and properties of naturally occurring chemicals. She has a superior grasp of web based technologies, logistics, and client relationship management systems (CRMs). She has been part of the AGS team since the AGS Scottsdale, AZ based headquarters was established. Before transitioning to her current role with the internal sales team, she also served as a Client Health Specialist for AGS. Kendall's role expands far beyond just internal sales as she is the team lead for the AGS Provider Program, and she also assists with client relations, product development, account management, and personnel management.
Dr. Mathur completed his training in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic and holds certiﬁcation with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has over 17 years of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings as a practicing physician. His academic study of genomics began as a biochemistry teaching assistant during his undergraduate training. His current areas of interest include clinical endpoints for designing and evaluating pharmacogenomic implementations, novel algorithm development in electronic medical records, and alternative health care delivery models. Dr. Mathur received his Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Dr. Monzón is a passionate professional with outstanding integrity and ethical values. During his years as a medical student at Universidad San Carlos de Guatemala, Dr. Monzón became highly interested in the research of epidemiology and took extra courses in this field. These courses furthered his knowledge of epidemic tendencies and how the environment is related to human health. Dr. Monzón recently gained an M.B.A. in Business Administration to further his interpersonal and communication skills, strategic thinking and planning abilities, and global orientation of businesses. Dr. Monzón joins AGS to maintain and support business relationships in Singapore and surrounding cities.
Susanne Maughan is a certified Holistic Genetic Health Coach and Adult Onset Diabetes educator. Her 20+ years of counseling utilizes genetically guided testing and consulting along with treating the person as a whole...not just their symptoms. Susanne received her training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition - the world’s most cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program. During her training, she studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. Her teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities. Her education has well equipped her with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, genetic health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and her knowledge of different dietary theories, she works with clients of all ages and stages to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results by improving overall energy, balance, and health.
Owner of Scott’s Training Systems (STS), a world-class fitness coaching facility in Chandler, Arizona. Nationally certified personal trainer through NASM and ISSA since 2004. Multiple presentations as NASM Fitness Expert at International NASM Conference. Scott has trained professional athletes to reach optimum levels of performance. AGS Brand Ambassador and AGS Genetic Summit Partner, 2018.
Additional certifications range from Pre and Post Natal Fitness, Breast Cancer Recovery, Power Plate, MovNat, Spitfire Sled training master programmer and NASM sled training.
